The European Union cultural legislation, one of the most significant subject headings in Turkey-EU negotiations, has been translated into Turkish. The 848-page book, published with the collaboration of the Association of Friends of Cultural Heritage, Dokuz Eylül University and EU Civil Society Dialogue Information Bridge, is a matchless source for those who really want to know what the EU is. The two-volume book titled “EU Cultural Legislation” and “International Cultural Heritage Legislation,” includes many interesting articles from the preservation of architectural heritage to development of the film sector, from the European Literature Award to the European Translation Award and more.
Istanbul University Faculty of Letters Archaeology Department member, Professor Mehmet Özogan, said the two volumes were rich enough to remove all prejudices about the EU. The translation can be found on www.kumid.eu .
