L’économie turque se porte plutôt bien : le produit national brut (PNB) a progressé de 6,3 % en 2006. Une politique budgétaire rigoureuse, des mesures d’assainissement du système bancaire et le soutien du Fonds monétaire international (FMI) ont permis de ramener l’inflation en dessous de la barre des deux chiffres.
