Bodrum, a former fishing village on the Aegean Sea, is now a popular upscale getaway: the St.-Tropez of Turkey. But it’s not just the turquoise sea that glitters here. Although the shopping options may lack the sheer scale of Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar, there is no shortage of intriguing items to be found.

At spots like the Marina mall — with its stunning view of Bodrum Castle and traditional Turkish wooden gulets, or yachts — and the shopping strip on Barlar Sokagi, or Bars Street, boutiques and markets sell jewelry, carpets, housewares and curios.
Another option is to hop a dolmus (minibus) to the market in nearby Yalikavak, where handmade dresses are a great find.
