As Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was elected for a final time as the Justice and Development Party (AKP) leader, the party congress emerged as a platform to outline his political agenda in the coming years. * Dr. Şaban Kardaş works as an associate professor of international relations in the Department of International Relations at TOBB University of Economics and Technology in Ankara.
