The initiation of the ongoing Kurdish peace process has largely been attributed to domestic factors. Largely neglected, but no less important, is the regional context of the process. * Galip Dalay works as a researcher in the political research department at the SETA Foundation in Turkey. He is also the book review editor of Insight Turkey.
